With the win, Liberty Magnet upgrades its record to 17-14 on the year. The Patriots travel to McKinley (Baton Rouge, LA) to play the Panthers in a Division I District 3 bout on Thursday, October 5. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 3-13. McKinley lost 3-0 in their recent non-league bout against Ascension Christian (Gonzales, LA)

The Bulldogs now own a 9-9 record. They play next when they host Zachary for a Division I District 3 bout on Wednesday, October 11.
