In Wednesday's non-league battle, the visiting Proviso East Pirates volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Walther Christian Academy Broncos.
The Pirates (2-15) will now prepare for their battle against Willowbrook (Villa Park, IL). The Warriors come into the West Suburban- Gold battle with a 26-1 record. In their last battle, Willowbrook defeated Resurrection (Chicago, IL), 2-0, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Broncos encounter the Ellison Lions (Chicago, IL) in a Chicago Prep battle, on Thursday, October 5. Walther Christian Academy will attempt to move on its 10-13 season record. The Lions come into the battle with a 1-5 record after their 2-0 league loss to Christ the King (Chicago, IL).
