North Carolina High School Football - South Stokes crushed by Alleghany

October 4, 2024: Sparta, NC 28675

Alleghany Trojans (Sparta, NC) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the visiting South Stokes Sauras (Walnut Cove, NC), 50-0 in a league battle.

With the win, Alleghany advances its record to 2-3 on the season. The Trojans travel to North Stokes (Danbury, NC) to play the Vikings in a Northwest 1A battle on Friday, October 11. The Vikings go into the battle with a record of 2-5. North Stokes lost 65-0 in their recent league battle against Starmount (Boonville, NC)

The Sauras now own a 0-6 record. They play next when they host Mount Airy for a Northwest 1A battle on Friday, October 11. South Stokes will play a Granite Bears team coming off a 28-13 league win over East Wilkes (Ronda, NC). The Granite Bears record now stands at 7-0.
