North Carolina High School Football - Swain County nudged by Andrews

October 4, 2024: Andrews, NC 28901

In Friday's league game, the Andrews Wildcats (Andrews, NC) football team edged the visiting Swain County Maroon Devils (Bryson City, NC), by a tally of 2-0.

In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Cherokee Braves (Cherokee, NC) in a Smoky Mountain 1A game, on Friday, October 11. Andrews will attempt to better on its 4-1 season record. The Braves enter the game with a 3-3 record after their 46-16 league loss to Robbinsville (Robbinsville, NC).

The Maroon Devils (0-5) will now prepare for their game against Hayesville (Hayesville, NC). The Yellowjackets enter the Smoky Mountain 1A game with a 1-5 record. In their last game, Hayesville was edged by Murphy (Murphy, NC), 44-0, in a league game.
