In Friday's league match, the host Apache Warriors football squad scored a close 22-16 triumph over the Carnegie Wildcats.
The Warriors (2-3) will now prepare for their match against Thomas-Fay-Custer (Thomas, OK). The Terriers come into the A-II District 1 match with a 6-0 record. In their last match, Thomas-Fay-Custer tipped Cordell (Cordell, OK), 57-0, in a league match.
Coming up next, the Wildcats confront the Southwest Covenant Patriots (Yukon, OK) in a A-II District 1 match, on Friday, October 11. Carnegie will attempt to upgrade on its 0-5 season record. The Patriots come into the match with a 3-2 record after their 43-18 league loss to Mangum (Mangum, OK).
