The Van Vleck Leopards were victorious over the host Brazos Cougars football team by a score of 45-14 in Friday's league challenge.
In their next game, the Leopards face the Industrial Cobras (Vanderbilt, TX) in a 3A-2 Region IV District 14 challenge, on Friday, October 11. Van Vleck will attempt to improve on its 3-3 season record. The Cobras enter the challenge with a 0-5 record after their 21-13 league loss to Tidehaven (El Maton, TX).
The Cougars (3-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Rice Consolidated (Altair, TX). The Raiders enter the 3A-2 Region IV District 14 challenge with a 5-1 record. In their last challenge, Rice Consolidated lost by East Bernard (East Bernard, TX), 31-23, in a league challenge.
