The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Jim Thorpe Olympians (Jim Thorpe, PA) and the visiting Catasauqua Rough Riders (Catasauqua, PA), witnessed Jim Thorpe's football squad wallop Catasauqua by a tally of 39-0.

The Olympians (2-5) will now prepare for their contest against Northwestern Lehigh (New Tripoli, PA). The Tigers come into the Colonial-Schuylkill - A test with a 7-0 record. In their last test, Northwestern Lehigh triumphed over Pottsville (Pottsville, PA), 35-0, in a league test.

With the defeat, Catasauqua drops to 3-4 on the campaign. The Rough riders host Northern Lehigh (Slatington, PA) to clash with the Bulldogs in a Colonial-Schuylkill - B test on Friday, October 11. The Bulldogs come into the test with a record of 5-2. Northern Lehigh won 42-7 in their recent league test against Wilson Area (Easton, PA)
