The Maquoketa Cardinals football squad scored 16 points and limited the host Central DeWitt to 14 in the Cardinals league triumph on Friday.

The Cardinals now hold a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they host Independence for a 3A District 3 test on Friday, October 11. Maquoketa will meet a Mustangs squad coming off a 17-16 league loss to Wahlert (Dubuque, IA). The Mustangs record now stands at 4-2.

With the defeat, Central DeWitt drops to 1-5 on the campaign. The host Center Point-Urbana (Center Point, IA) to meet the Stormin' Pointers in a 3A District 3 test on Friday, October 11. The Stormin' Pointers come into the test with a record of 2-4. Center Point-Urbana lost 49-6 in their recent league test against West Delaware (Manchester, IA)
