The Springfield Bulldogs football squad scored 19 points and limited the host Central Private Redhawks to 15 in the Bulldogs non-league triumph on Friday.
The Bulldogs now hold a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Sumner for a 3A District 8 test on Friday, October 11. Springfield will meet a Cowboys squad coming off a 42-39 non-league loss to Franklinton (Franklinton, LA). The Cowboys record now stands at 4-1.
With the defeat, Central Private drops to 2-3 on the campaign. The Redhawks host Benjamin Franklin (New Orleans, LA) to meet the Falcons in a non-league test on Friday, October 11. The Falcons come into the test with a record of 0-4. Benjamin Franklin lost 44-7 in their recent non-league test against Haynes Academy (Metairie, LA)
