The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Colbert County Indians (Leighton, AL) and the host Colbert Heights Wildcats (Tuscumbia, AL), witnessed Colbert County's football squad wallop Colbert Heights by a tally of 49-14.

The Indians (2-5) will now prepare for their contest against Clements (Athens, AL). The Colts enter the 3A Region 7 contest with a 1-6 record. In their last contest, Clements was trounced by Lauderdale County (Rogersville, AL), 51-6, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Wildcats confront the Rogers Pirates (Florence, AL) in a 3A Region 7 contest, on Friday, October 11. Colbert Heights will attempt to better on its 4-3 season record. The Pirates enter the contest with a 4-2 record after their 42-0 league loss to Mars Hill Bible (Florence, AL).
