The Columbus Cardinals walloped the host Rogers Eagles football team by a score of 56-8 in Friday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Cardinals face the Yoakum Bulldogs (Yoakum, TX) in a 3A-1 Region III District 12 challenge, on Friday, October 18. Columbus will attempt to improve on its 6-0 season record.

The Eagles (1-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Blanco (Blanco, TX). The Panthers go into the 3A-2 Region IV District 13 challenge with a 3-3 record. In their last challenge, Blanco was ripped by Yoakum (Yoakum, TX), 25-19, in a non-league challenge.
