North Carolina High School Football - South Point nudges Crest

October 4, 2024: Belmont, NC 28012

The crowd at Friday's league contest between the South Point Red Raiders (Belmont, NC) and the visiting Crest Chargers (Shelby, NC), witnessed South Point's football squad edge Crest by a tally of 27-26.

The Red Raiders (4-0) will now prepare for their contest against Kings Mountain (Kings Mountain, NC). The Mountaineers enter the Big South 3A contest with a 4-1 record. In their last contest, Kings Mountain got by Forestview (Gastonia, NC), 41-23, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Chargers confront the North Gaston Wildcats (Dallas, NC) in a Big South 3A contest, on Friday, October 11. Crest will attempt to better on its 4-1 season record. The Wildcats enter the contest with a 2-3 record after their 41-13 league loss to Ashbrook (Gastonia, NC).
