Hermantown Hawks (Hermantown, MN) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the visiting Duluth East Greyhounds (Duluth, MN), 56-12 in a league battle.

With the win, Hermantown improves its record to 5-1 on the season. The Hawks travel to Esko (Esko, MN) to play the Eskomos in a non-league battle on Thursday, October 10. The Eskomos go into the battle with a record of 3-4. Esko won 35-0 in their recent league battle against Hibbing (Hibbing, MN)

The Greyhounds now have a 2-4 record. They play next when they host North Branch for a Northeast - Red battle on Friday, October 11. Duluth East will play a Vikings team coming off a 29-28 league loss to Grand Rapids (Grand Rapids, MN). The Vikings record now stands at 4-2.
