The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Durand Railroaders (Durand, MI) and the host Mt. Morris Panthers (Mt. Morris, MI), witnessed Durand's football squad knock off Mt. Morris by a tally of 53-23.

The Railroaders (4-2) will now prepare for their contest against Birch Run (Birch Run, MI). The Panthers enter the Mid-Michigan contest with a 2-4 record. In their last contest, Birch Run was toppled by Ovid-Elsie (Elsie, MI), 30-14, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Panthers battle the Lakeville Falcons (Otisville, MI) in a Mid-Michigan contest, on Friday, October 11. Mt. Morris will attempt to better on its 2-4 season record. The Falcons enter the contest with a 1-5 record after their 41-7 league loss to New Lothrop (New Lothrop, MI).
