Alabama High School Football - Elkmont can't hold off Sheffield

Sheffield Bulldogs (Sheffield, AL) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team tip the visiting Elkmont Red Devils (Elkmont, AL), 39-38 in a league battle.

With the win, Sheffield improves its record to 3-3 on the season. The Bulldogs host Lauderdale County (Rogersville, AL) to play the Tigers in a 3A Region 7 battle on Friday, October 11. The Tigers go into the battle with a record of 4-3. Lauderdale County won 51-6 in their recent league battle against Clements (Athens, AL)

The Red Devils now have a 2-4 record. They play next when they host Mars Hill Bible for a 3A Region 7 battle on Friday, October 11. Elkmont will play a Panthers team coming off a 42-0 league win over Rogers (Florence, AL). The Panthers record now stands at 6-0.
