Pennsylvania High School Football - Oil City can't hold off Erie

October 4, 2024: Oil City, PA 16301

Erie Royals (Erie, PA) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team nip the host Oil City Oilers (Oil City, PA), 14-7 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Erie advances its record to 3-4 on the season. The Royals host Euclid (Euclid, OH) to play the Panthers in a non-league battle on Friday, October 11. The Panthers go into the battle with a record of 2-4. Euclid lost 51-18 in their recent league battle against Medina (Medina, OH)

The Oilers now own a 3-4 record. They play next when they travel to Warren for a District 10 Region 6 battle on Saturday, October 12. Oil City will play a Dragons team coming off a 48-6 league loss to General McLane (Edinboro, PA). The Dragons record now stands at 0-7.
