Wilcox Academy Wildcats (Camden, AL) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the host Escambia Academy Cougars (Atmore, AL), 34-0 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Wilcox Academy advances its record to 4-1 on the season. The Wildcats host Patrician Academy (Butler, AL) to play the Saints in a AISA AA Region 2 battle on Thursday, October 10. The Saints go into the battle with a record of 5-1. Patrician Academy lost 20-18 in their recent non-league battle against Monroe Academy (Monroeville, AL)

The Cougars now own a 2-3 record. They play next when they host Morgan Academy for a AISA AAA Region 2 battle on Friday, October 11. Escambia Academy will play a Senators team coming off a 38-12 non-league win over Hooper Academy (Hope Hull, AL). The Senators record now stands at 2-3.
