Pennsylvania High School Football - Freeport tops Highlands

October 4, 2024: Natrona Heights, PA 15065

The Freeport Yellowjackets football squad scored 28 points and limited the host Highlands Golden Rams to 7 in the Yellowjackets league triumph on Friday.

The Yellowjackets now hold a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hopewell for a non-league test on Friday, October 11. Freeport will meet a Vikings squad coming off a 56-24 league win over McGuffey (Claysville, PA). The Vikings record now stands at 4-3.

With the defeat, Highlands drops to 2-4 on the campaign. The Golden rams host Burrell (Lower Burrell, PA) to meet the Bucs in a WPIAL AAA Allegheny 7 test on Friday, October 11. The Bucs come into the test with a record of 2-5. Burrell won 15-6 in their recent league test against Valley (New Kensington, PA)
