The Freer Buckaroos were victorious over the visiting Premont Cowboys football team by a score of 28-14 in Friday's league challenge.
In their next game, the Buckaroos face the Kaufer Seahawks (Riviera, TX) in a 2A-1 Region IV District 16 challenge, on Friday, October 11. Freer will attempt to improve on its 3-3 season record. The Seahawks enter the challenge with a 0-6 record after their 72-0 league loss to Refugio (Refugio, TX).
The Cowboys (3-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Skidmore-Tynan (Skidmore, TX). The Bobcats enter the 2A-1 Region IV District 16 challenge with a 0-5 record. In their last challenge, Skidmore-Tynan fell by Three Rivers (Three Rivers, TX), 29-8, in a league challenge.
