The Gary West Side Cougars football team (Gary, IN), was overwhelmed 42-0 in Friday's league outing with the visiting Griffith Panthers (Griffith, IN)

The Panthers now sport a 7-0 record. They take the field next when they host Calumet New Tech for a Greater South Shore - South outing on Friday, October 11. Griffith will clash with a Warriors squad coming off a 43-8 league loss to Wheeler (Valparaiso, IN). The Warriors record now stands at 4-3.

With the defeat, Gary West Side drops to 4-3 on the campaign. The Cougars host Hammond Bishop Noll (Hammond, IN) to clash with the Warriors in a non-league outing on Friday, October 11.
