The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Gaston Bulldogs (Gadsden, AL) and the host Section Lions (Section, AL), witnessed Gaston's football squad topple Section by a tally of 42-28.

The Bulldogs (2-4) will now prepare for their contest against Pleasant Valley (Jacksonville, AL). The Raiders enter the 2A Region 7 contest with a 5-2 record. In their last contest, Pleasant Valley thwarted Cedar Bluff (Cedar Bluff, AL), 20-19, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Lions confront the North Sand Mountain Bison (Higdon, AL) in a 2A Region 7 contest, on Friday, October 11. Section will attempt to better on its 1-6 season record. The Bison enter the contest with a 4-2 record after their 20-7 non-league loss to Valley Head (Valley Head, AL).
