New York High School Football - Goshen Central thwarted by Minisink Valley

Minisink Valley Warriors (Slate Hill, NY) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Goshen Central Gladiators (Goshen, NY), 47-21 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Minisink Valley improves its record to 4-1 on the season. The Warriors host Roosevelt (Hyde Park, NY) to play the Presidents in a Section 9 A-1 battle on Thursday, October 10. The Presidents go into the battle with a record of 2-4. Roosevelt lost 35-14 in their recent league battle against Warwick (Warwick, NY)
The Gladiators now have a 1-4 record. They play next when they travel to Red Hook for a non-league battle on Friday, October 11. Goshen Central will play a Raiders team coming off a 51-0 league loss to Highland (Highland, NY). The Raiders record now stands at 0-5.
