With the win, Hidalgo advances its record to 1-5 on the season. The Pirates host Tuloso-Midway (Corpus Christi, TX) to play the Warriors & Cherokees in a 4A-1 Region IV District 16 battle on Friday, October 11. The Warriors & Cherokees go into the battle with a record of 4-2. Tuloso-Midway lost 28-27 in their recent non-league battle against Alice (Alice, TX)

The Gators now own a 1-5 record. They play next when they host La Feria for a 4A-2 Region IV District 16 battle on Thursday, October 17. Grulla will play a Lions team coming off a 62-13 non-league loss to St. Joseph Academy (Brownsville, TX). The Lions record now stands at 3-3.
