Arkansas High School Football - Lafayette County edged by Gurdon

In Friday's league game, the Gurdon Go-Devils (Gurdon, AR) football team edged the visiting Lafayette County Cougars (Stamps, AR), by a count of 39-36.

The Go-Devils (2-3) will now prepare for their match against Junction City (Junction City, AR). The Dragons come into the 2A Region 3 match with a 3-2 record. In their last match, Junction City tipped Mineral Springs (Mineral Springs, AR), 20-14, in a league match.

Coming up next, the Cougars meet the Spring Hill Bears (Hope, AR) in a 2A Region 3 match, on Friday, October 11. Lafayette County will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Bears come into the match with a 1-4 record after their 42-14 league loss to Dierks (Dierks, AR).
