The Southwestern Warriors were victorious over the host Harlan County Black Bears football team by a score of 27-12 in Friday's league challenge.
In their next game, the Warriors face the Franklin County Flyers (Frankfort, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, October 11. Southwestern will attempt to improve on its 3-3 season record. The Flyers enter the challenge with a 6-0 record after their 45-14 league win over North Oldham (Goshen, KY).
The Black Bears (1-4) will now prepare for their challenge against South Laurel (London, KY). The Cardinals enter the 5A District 8 challenge with a 4-2 record. In their last challenge, South Laurel ran past North Laurel (London, KY), 23-7, in a league challenge.
