North Carolina High School Football - Hayesville overwhelmed by Murphy

October 4, 2024: Hayesville, NC 28904

The Murphy Bulldogs walloped the host Hayesville Yellowjackets football team by a score of 44-0 in Friday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Bulldogs face the Robbinsville Black Knights (Robbinsville, NC) in a Smoky Mountain 1A challenge, on Friday, October 11. Murphy will attempt to improve on its 5-1 season record. The Black Knights enter the challenge with a 2-4 record after their 46-16 league win over Cherokee (Cherokee, NC).

The Yellowjackets (1-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Swain County (Bryson City, NC). The Maroon Devils enter the Smoky Mountain 1A challenge with a 0-5 record. In their last challenge, Swain County was ripped by Andrews (Andrews, NC), 2-0, in a league challenge.
