The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Republic County Buffaloes (Belleville, KS) and the host Herington Railroaders (Herington, KS), witnessed Republic County's football squad knock off Herington by a tally of 21-8.

The Buffaloes (2-3) will now prepare for their contest against Remington (Whitewater, KS). The Broncos enter the non-league contest with a 1-4 record. In their last contest, Remington was toppled by Moundridge (Moundridge, KS), 41-8, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Railroaders battle the Valley Heights Mustangs (Blue Rapids, KS) in a Northeast Kansas contest, on Friday, October 11. Herington will attempt to better on its 0-5 season record. The Mustangs enter the contest with a 4-1 record after their 43-6 non-league win over Bennington (Bennington, KS).
