The Holmes County Central Jaguars football team (Lexington, MS), was tipped 48-45 in Friday's non-league bout with the host Murrah Mustangs (Jackson, MS)

With the win, Murrah advances its record to 6-0 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Perry Central (New Augusta, MS) to encounter the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Friday, October 11. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 3-3. Perry Central won 34-7 in their recent league bout against St. Patrick (Biloxi, MS)

The Jaguars now own a 3-2 record. They play next when they host Greenville for a 5A Region 2 bout on Friday, October 11. Holmes County Central will encounter a Hornets team coming off a 12-6 non-league loss to Humphreys County (Belzoni, MS). The Hornets record now stands at 1-4.
