The Hughes Springs Mustangs got by the visiting Queen City Bulldogs football team by a score of 40-34 in Friday's league challenge.
In their next game, the Mustangs play the Hooks Hornets (Hooks, TX) in a 3A-2 Region III District 10 challenge, on Friday, October 11. Hughes Springs will attempt to improve on its 4-2 season record. The Hornets go into the challenge with a 3-2 record after their 52-7 non-league win over Oklahoma City Patriots HomeSchool (Oklahoma City, OK).
The Bulldogs (0-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Daingerfield (Daingerfield, TX). The Tigers go into the 3A-2 Region III District 10 challenge with a 1-5 record. In their last challenge, Daingerfield was edged by De Kalb (De Kalb, TX), 30-28, in a league challenge.
