Colorado High School Football - Lamar beat La Junta

October 4, 2024: La Junta, CO 81050

The Lamar Thunder football squad scored 38 points and limited the host La Junta Tigers to 20 in the Thunder league triumph on Friday.

The Thunder now sport a 5-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Woodland Park for a 2A South East test on Friday, October 11. Lamar will clash with a Panthers squad coming off a 43-7 league win over Banning Lewis Academy (Colorado Springs, CO). The Panthers record now stands at 5-0.

With the defeat, La Junta drops to 2-3 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Manitou Springs (Manitou Springs, CO) to clash with the Mustangs in a 2A South East test on Friday, October 11. The Mustangs come into the test with a record of 2-3. Manitou Springs lost 16-0 in their recent league test against Florence (Florence, CO)
