The La Marque Cougars football squad scored 42 points and limited the host Wharton Tigers to 6 in the Cougars league triumph on Friday.

The Cougars now hold a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they host Harmony School of Innovation for a 4A-2 Region III District 10 test on Friday, October 11. La Marque will meet a Wildcats squad coming off a 56-0 league loss to Columbia (West Columbia, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 0-6.

With the defeat, Wharton drops to 2-4 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Harmony School of Innovation (Sugar Land, TX) to meet the Mustangs in a 4A-2 Region III District 10 test on Friday, October 11.
