The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Lakeland Eagles (White Lake, MI) and the host Mott Corsairs (Waterford, MI), witnessed Lakeland's football squad knock off Mott by a tally of 21-7.

The Eagles (4-2) will now prepare for their contest against South Lyon (South Lyon, MI). The Lions enter the Lakes Valley contest with a 3-3 record. In their last contest, South Lyon was outscored by Groves (Beverly Hills, MI), 35-0, in a non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Corsairs battle the Walled Lake Northern Knights (Commerce, MI) in a Lakes Valley contest, on Thursday, October 10. Mott will attempt to better on its 1-4 season record. The Knights enter the contest with a 0-6 record after their 21-18 league loss to Kettering (Waterford, MI).
