McGehee Owls (McGehee, AR) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the host Lakeside Beavers (Lake Village, AR), 40-0 in a league battle.

With the win, McGehee improves its record to 3-2 on the season. The Owls host Rison (Rison, AR) to play the Wildcats in a 3A Region 8 battle on Friday, October 11. The Wildcats go into the battle with a record of 5-0. Rison won 38-6 in their recent league battle against Dumas (Dumas, AR)

The Beavers now have a 1-4 record. They play next when they travel to Drew Central for a 3A Region 8 battle on Friday, October 11. Lakeside will play a Pirates team coming off a 50-0 league loss to Fordyce (Fordyce, AR). The Pirates record now stands at 0-5.
