Missouri High School Football - Nevada nudges Lamar

In Friday's league match, the visiting Nevada Tigers football squad scored a close 20-19 victory over the Lamar Tigers.

The Tigers (5-1) will now prepare for their match against Cassville (Cassville, MO). The Wildcats enter the Big 8 match with a 2-4 record. In their last match, Cassville was nudged by Mt. Vernon (Mt. Vernon, MO), 35-28, in a league match.

Coming up next, the Tigers confront the Monett Cubs (Monett, MO) in a Big 8 match, on Friday, October 11. Lamar will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Cubs enter the match with a 2-4 record after their 44-26 non-league win over East Newton (Granby, MO).
