The Lewis County Minutemen got by the host Lincoln Cougars football team by a score of 34-28 in Friday's league challenge.
In their next game, the Minutemen face the Buckhannon-Upshur Buccaneers (Buckhannon, WV) in a Big Ten challenge, on Friday, October 11. Lewis County will attempt to improve on its 2-3 season record. The Buccaneers go into the challenge with a 0-6 record after their 55-0 league loss to Fairmont Senior (Fairmont, WV).
The Cougars (1-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Robert C. Byrd (Clarksburg, WV). The Eagles go into the Big Ten challenge with a 2-4 record. In their last challenge, Robert C. Byrd was edged by Point Pleasant (Point Pleasant, WV), 48-35, in a non-league challenge.
