In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Marksville Tigers football squad scored a good 30-6 triumph over the Oakdale Warriors.
The Tigers (3-2) will now prepare for their match against Jena (Jena, LA). The Giants come into the 3A District 2 match with a 3-2 record. In their last match, Jena was beaten by Tioga (Tioga, LA), 65-26, in a non-league match.
Coming up next, the Warriors confront the Holy Savior Menard Eagles (Alexandria, LA) in a 2A District 5 match, on Friday, October 11. Oakdale will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Eagles come into the match with a 2-3 record after their 27-20 non-league loss to Buckeye (Buckeye, LA).
