Arkansas High School Football - Quitman falls to Melbourne

October 4, 2024: Quitman, AR 72131

The Melbourne Bearkatz felled the host Quitman Bulldogs football team by a score of 43-33 in Friday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Bearkatz play the Mayflower Eagles (Mayflower, AR) in a 3A Region 2 challenge, on Friday, October 11. Melbourne will attempt to improve on its 4-1 season record. The Eagles go into the challenge with a 5-0 record after their 35-0 league win over Yellville-Summit (Yellville, AR).

The Bulldogs (2-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Episcopal (Little Rock, AR). The Wildcats go into the 3A Region 2 challenge with a 0-5 record. In their last challenge, Episcopal lost by Salem (Salem, AR), 49-0, in a league challenge.
