Menard Yellowjackets (Menard, TX) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team nip the visiting St. Augustine Knights (Laredo, TX), 2-0 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Menard advances its record to 4-1 on the season. The Yellowjackets travel to Leakey (Leakey, TX) to play the Eagles in a 1A 6 Man 1 Region IV District 15 (6 Man) battle on Friday, October 11. The Eagles go into the battle with a record of 4-2. Leakey lost 78-34 in their recent non-league battle against Hermleigh (Hermleigh, TX)
The Knights now own a 0-5 record. They play next when they host Incarnate Word Academy for a TAPPS Six-Man Division I District 3 (6 Man) battle on Friday, October 25.
