North Carolina High School Football - Rocky Mount nudges Nash Central

In Friday's league match, the host Rocky Mount Gryphons football squad scored a close 13-7 victory over the Nash Central Bulldogs.

The Gryphons (3-3) will now prepare for their match against Roanoke Rapids (Roanoke Rapids, NC). The Yellowjackets enter the 2A/3A Big East match with a 5-2 record. In their last match, Roanoke Rapids was nudged by Northern Nash (Rocky Mount, NC), 70-7, in a league match.

Coming up next, the Bulldogs confront the Northern Nash Knights (Rocky Mount, NC) in a 2A/3A Big East match, on Friday, October 11. Nash Central will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Knights enter the match with a 6-0 record after their 70-7 league win over Roanoke Rapids (Roanoke Rapids, NC).
