Kansas High School Football - Salina Central smashes Newton

The Salina Central Mustangs (Salina, KS) football trounced the visiting Newton Railroaders (Newton, KS), 57-7 in Friday's league outing.

The Mustangs now sport a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Andover Central for a Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail Division II outing on Friday, October 11. Salina Central will clash with a Jaguars squad coming off a 22-16 league loss to Goddard (Goddard, KS). The Jaguars record now stands at 4-1.

With the defeat, Newton drops to 0-5 on the campaign. The Railroaders host Andover (Andover, KS) to clash with the Trojans in a Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail Division II outing on Friday, October 11. The Trojans come into the outing with a record of 2-3. Andover lost 21-17 in their recent league outing against Eisenhower (Goddard, KS)
