Winston Academy Patriots (Louisville, MS) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Oak Hill Academy Raiders (West Point, MS), 47-16 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Winston Academy improves its record to 5-2 on the season. The Patriots travel to Central Hinds Academy (Raymond, MS) to play the Cougars in a MAIS 4A District 2 battle on Friday, October 11. The Cougars go into the battle with a record of 4-3. Central Hinds Academy lost 16-0 in their recent non-league battle against Bayou Academy (Cleveland, MS)

The Raiders now have a 0-6 record. They play next when they host Kirk Academy for a MAIS 3A District 1 battle on Friday, October 11. Oak Hill Academy will play a Raiders team coming off a 34-6 non-league win over Indianola Academy (Indianola, MS). The Raiders record now stands at 7-0.
