The Philip Simmons Iron Horses football squad scored 22 points and limited the host Woodland Wolverines to 16 in the Iron Horses league triumph on Friday.

The Iron Horses now hold a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they host Burke for a AA Region 6 test on Friday, October 11. Philip Simmons will meet a Bulldogs squad coming off a 53-6 league loss to Timberland (St. Stephen, SC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-4.

With the defeat, Woodland drops to 4-2 on the campaign. The Wolverines travel to Andrews (Andrews, SC) to meet the Yellowjackets in a AA Region 6 test on Friday, October 11. The Yellowjackets come into the test with a record of 5-1. Andrews won 42-6 in their recent league test against Academic Magnet (North Charleston, SC)
