In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Point Pleasant Big Blacks football squad scored a good 48-35 triumph over the Robert C. Byrd Eagles.
The Big Blacks (2-2) will now prepare for their match against Warren (Vincent, OH). The Warriors come into the Ohio Valley AAAAA match with a 5-2 record. In their last match, Warren defeated John Marshall (Glen Dale, WV), 24-12, in a non-league match.
Coming up next, the Eagles confront the Lincoln Cougars (Shinnston, WV) in a Big Ten match, on Friday, October 11. Robert C. Byrd will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Cougars come into the match with a 1-5 record after their 34-28 league loss to Lewis County (Weston, WV).
