The Marian Catholic Spartans walloped the host Marmion Cadets football team by a score of 40-6 in Friday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Spartans face the Providence Catholic Celtics (New Lenox, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, October 19. Marian Catholic will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record. The Celtics go into the challenge with a 6-0 record after their 64-28 non-league win over Marist (Chicago, IL).

The Cadets (1-5) will now prepare for their challenge against IC Catholic Prep (Elmhurst, IL). The Knights go into the challenge with a 2-0 record. In their last challenge, IC Catholic Prep bounced Non Freshman Opponent (, ), 14-0, in a non-league challenge.
