In Friday's league outing, the visiting Deering Rams soccer squad scored a tight 3-1 victory over the South Portland Red Riots.

The Rams (6-3) will now prepare for their outing against Marshwood (South Berwick, ME). The Hawks go into the Class A - South outing with a 5-3 record. In their last outing, Marshwood Westbrook (Westbrook, ME), 1-1, in a league outing.

Next up, the Red Riots confront the Sanford Spartans (Sanford, ME) in a Class A - South outing, on Wednesday, October 9. South Portland will attempt to improve on its 7-7 season record. The Spartans go into the outing with a 0-9 record after their 5-0 league loss to Thornton Academy (Saco, ME).
