In Friday's non-league contest, the Western Wayne Wildcats (Lake Ariel, PA) soccer team routed the visiting Forest City Foresters (Forest City, PA), by a count of 8-1.
Next, the Wildcats battle the Mountain View Eagles (Kingsley, PA) in a Lackawanna - Division II contest, on Monday, October 7. Western Wayne will attempt to upgrade on its 9-4 season record. The Eagles enter the contest with a 6-8 record after their 6-1 non-league loss to Scranton Prep (Scranton, PA).
The Foresters (0-10) will now prepare for their contest against Riverside (Taylor, PA). The Vikings enter the Lackawanna - Division III contest with a 11-1 record. In their last contest, Riverside held off Elk Lake (Dimock, PA), 2-1, in a league contest.
