The Manistee Chippewas soccer squad scored 9 points and held the visiting Glen Lake Lakers to 1 in the Chippewas non-league victory on Friday.

The Chippewas now hold a 6-9 record. They play next when they host St. Francis for a non-league bout on Monday, October 7. Manistee will play a Gladiators squad coming off a 8-0 non-league win over Suttons Bay (Suttons Bay, MI). The Gladiators record now stands at 13-5.

With the loss, Glen Lake moves to 7-7 on the year. The Lakers host Leland (Leland, MI) to play the Comets in a Northwest bout on Monday, October 7. The Comets go into the bout with a record of 14-2. Leland lost 2-1 in their recent non-league bout against St. Francis (Traverse City, MI)
