In Friday's non-league challenge, the visiting Montgomery Cougars volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Hopewell Valley Central Bulldogs.

The Cougars (7-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Voorhees (Glen Gardner, NJ). The Vikings come into the non-league challenge with a 6-7 record. In their last challenge, Voorhees was nudged by Sparta (Sparta, NJ), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Bulldogs meet the Princeton Day Panthers (Princeton, NJ) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, October 7. Hopewell Valley Central will attempt to upgrade on its 5-7 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 3-10 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Mount St. Mary Academy (Watchung, NJ).
