Fans at Friday's non-league contest between the Waterville-Elysian-Morristown Buccaneers (Waterville, MN) and the visiting Maple River Eagles (Mapleton, MN), observed Waterville-Elysian-Morristown's volleyball team top Maple River by a count of 3-0.

The Buccaneers (18-7) will now prepare for their contest against Bethlehem Academy (Faribault, MN). The Cardinals enter the Gopher contest with a 12-9 record. In their last contest, Bethlehem Academy was knocked off by Chippewa Falls (Chippewa Falls, WI), 2-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Eagles meet the Sibley East Wolverines (Arlington, MN) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, October 8. Maple River will attempt to move on its 11-12 season record. The Wolverines enter the contest with a 3-9 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Minnesota Valley Lutheran (New Ulm, MN).
