In Friday's non-league challenge, the visiting Marie Philip Galloping Ghosts volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf Lions.

The Galloping Ghosts (5-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Rochester School for the Deaf (Rochester, NY). The Wildcats enter the non-league challenge with a 2-1 record. In their last challenge, Rochester School for the Deaf beat Young Women's College Prep (Rochester, NY), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Lions meet the American School for the Deaf Tigers (West Hartford, CT) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, October 5. Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf will attempt to upgrade on its 0-6 season record. The Tigers enter the challenge with a 2-8 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to Emmanuel Christian Academy (Newington, CT).
